The pain is the gain
The pain is gain
Since I was a kid I have been pestered by the phrase "no pain no gain". Translated, it means that to obtain something you have to work hard and suffer.
This phrase is conceived by people lost in space-time, children of a culture based on the achievement of goals that has been the antechamber of the current one, where goals disappear, but only because of apathy and lack of vitality and not because of awareness.
Pleasure and suffering are not useful for achieving a goal but they are the goal itself. Feeling exhausted, thinking that we can't make it, yet discovering that this is not how the mind lies. Beyond the threshold of pain and suffering that one thinks one cannot overcome, there is ecstasy. This is "askesis", the way of ascent.
I thank Emma and Alessandro, my playmates
See you around
