Elegy of courage
Courage is one of the highest virtues that a human being should develop. Courage is getting out of one's comfort zone. Courage is the twin of fear, without fear there is no courage. Courage means experiencing fear but being able to overcome it and act in defense of one's own freedom and that of others. Having courage means doing what is right even when it is uncomfortable and inconvenient. Courage is that quality that gives us the impetus to move from being a simple biological mechanism to Nietzsche's "super" human.
Courage, like any other virtue, must be trained both intellectually but above all physically. This is why it is essential to challenge and expose oneself to dangerous situations. For this reason, the love for speed, for cliffs, for combat sports or for altered states of consciousness must be cultivated. A "good" parent who really wants to prepare his child for life will let the child take the right risks that make him grow. The alternative is zombism.
The mantra we heard for the last two years, "in total safety", is a false mantra, there is nothing that is totally safe, but above all uneducational aimed at making men slaves and not free beings. In our school the only certainty is our goal is to use means to increase our awareness and therefore constantly to train courage.
