Comfortably cocooned

Manipulation has convinced us that comfort, the lack of real, big problems, and the obtainment of fun and pleasure are a goal to be pursued as an indisputable indicator of actual "progress".
We have forgotten that without real small / large endeavours, we do not exist and we go through life without even being able to grasp it.

The joy of living exists as a product of a tension that can only happen outside the comfort zone that we are so afraid to leave. We live like this, so to speak, as prisoners in a golden cocoon that every day we contribute to making it safer and impenetrable to life.
