Of that barbarism called tourism

I appreciate that tourism is a great source of economic well-being. I acknowledge that mine is an elitist speech but even if I'm being judged as such it does not bother me at all.

Having made the above premises and reconnecting to last week's post (link here) tourism destroys art. Opening a cathedral, a forest, an archaeological site, a mountain path to tourism means letting in the barbarians who rob it of all beauty by energetically destroying the place. 

If "everything" were to be open to all, I would forbid those who enter, to speak, to take photographs, to eat or drink or do anything other than simply contemplating and being part of the sacred. Everyone else out!
