Nothing is enough if it ain't the best
This motto, which could be by D'Annunzio without being his, has always fascinated me. In some way I identify with it when combined with the awareness that the "best" is an unattainable myth but to which our life should be devoted to obtain it in every aspect of life.
When you stop looking for the " best", or start demanding that someone or something would do it for you, you metaphorically collapse on a sofa and nothing really makes sense anymore.
