Considerations on the relationship with "dangerous" animals
We homo sapiens are part of the animal kingdom. This premise, often forgotten, is essential to find the right balance with oneself and with other animals. The world and its inhabitants were not created to serve us, and we should not presume to decide what to destroy and what to keep, rather , we should, in my opinion, act with greater respect and have a different relationship even with those who are considered to be dangerous animals. I would add that the life of the human being is not sacred and as far as I am concerned I do not give more value to a human being than to any animal. Value and respect must be earned and not given regardless.
The world of the so-called "yogis" also has a particularly controversial relationship with nature. If you swat a mosquito they look at you with contempt, but then again, if a wasp approaches them or ends up biting them, they get traumatized as if a lion had cut off their arm.
My feeling in general is that today's society, stuffed with "green" propaganda, loves nature only if it is tame and comfortable.
This post is actually inspired by the vote of the inhabitants of a Trentino valley who would like the disappearance of bears from their land, as well as by the splendid idea of some mentally ill people, who a few months ago, had a bear euthanized because it had attacked and killed a human being. According to these sick people, the bear should not behave according to nature but follow the rules of civil coexistence.
My personal relationship with these beautiful animals is "unlucky", that is, I have toured for years American national parks brimming with grizzlies without ever meeting one directly, just as in the Svalbard Islands I have never been able to meet a polar bear. I'd like to stress that wanting to have a close encounter does not mean at all that I do not fear them.
Being in favor of the possession of weapons, convinced that everyone should have the means to defend themselves, my personal solution would be: if you enter my house aggressively, I will kill you (applies to any living being) and if I decide to try entering in your home, I'll do it with respect and aware of the risks I run.
In any case, if I really have to choose, it is always much better to end up in the jaws of a bear than in a hospital bed.
